WAKE
ZONE
In Water Boat Show
by Lori Wolak
All boat shows are great places to learn about
new boats. Going
to an indoor boat show lets you check out many different types of boats and
many different brands. You can use this information to narrow down your
search to a few boats that suit your needs and appeal to you. Once you have
done that, the next step in making a purchase is to take it for a test
drive.
This
is where an in water boat show can really make a difference. Typically, one
or two boat dealers bring a sampling of the different boats they have to
offer, and spend a day or a weekend taking interested prospective buyers for
a spin. Trying a boat in the water gives you a chance to get the feel of the
engine and how the boat maneuvers. You just can't really know how it feels
by sitting in a boat on a trailer, you have to try driving it. If you can
try it on the water, and even drive it, you can be sure that your purchase
is perfect for you. After all, would you buy a car without taking it for a
test drive?
Take advantage of this great opportunity to
try some different boats,
you might just be surprised at which ones you prefer when you can hear and
feel all the different characteristics of some different boats. You can also
feel very comfortable trying a variety without feeling obligated to make a
purchase, since there will be more prospective buyers all looking at the
same boats.
